Live.com email id?

Hi

I was wondering how can get a live.com email id..as per hotmail's signup page, my existing hotmail, msn id is live id but...how can i use it as "myXid@live.com"

when u r on the signup page where u type the username u want it will ask u next to it if u want it live or hotmail , if ur system is older and u dont have windows live messnger it wont let u, but thats how u do it.
